Like most people who have an interest in all things Batman, the upcoming Gotham Knights video game will have piqued your interest. The previews have been a little mixed, a lot of people praising it but also stating it left them wanting a little more. Only on current gen consoles, Gotham Knights has an interesting enough premise; Batman is dead and it’s up to four members of the Bat Family to carry on the crime fighting in the big guy’s absence, which sounds interesting enough but little so far has been revealed about the story other than some of the villains who making an appearance, The Court of Owls being one of them.
The Court of Owls making an appearance is a pretty big deal for me as they are one of the most under utilised Batman villains but it’s yet to be seen if they will live up to their potential, fingers crossed they do. I’m not sure what to make of the RPG elements and the lack of counter is an interesting move, focusing more on dodges during combat and hopefully we get to see a beautifully realised version of Gotham City.
I’m really hoping that Gotham Knights lives up to the hype, a lot of people have written it off already but here’s hoping that WB Games Montreal deliver and we have another classic Batman game on our hands.
